All nominees must be received by September 1, 2011 in order to be considered for this year. Otherwise, they will be put into consideration for 2012. Once they are submitted, they need not be submitted again.

Nomination Procedures for 2012 Academy of Western Artists
"Will Rogers Cowboy Awards"
All nominations must be received by August 1, 2012 in order to be considered for the year. Otherwise, they will be put into consideration for 2013. Once they are submitted, (except music and poetry albums and books) they need not be submitted again.
All material can either be sent to AWA, P O Box 35, Gene Autry, OK 73436, or emailed to; working_cowboy@hotmail.com. If you have any questions, please contact us first at email.
Music:
Categories (please send name and resume, if needed, to be listed). Almost all nominees are listed on the first ballot, then it will be narrowed down to the final five. Winners will be announed at the annual award presentation.
All book, albums, cds, etc, which are published must have been released between April 2, 2011-April 2, 2012. If an album/cd/book was released prior to or just after the date, they can also be considered, but this will be done on a one to one basis. If they are considered for one year, they cannot be reconsidered for the next year.
